Overview
The Short Term program offers an authentic insight into the local lifestyle! Participants spend their entire stay with a host family that will consider them as a family member. There are no specific activities planned besides family outings as the point of this program is to learn the language and culture through everyday activities.
About Spain
We offer two different locations for our Short Term Program in Spain. The locations are the following:
- Madrid: with or without Spanish classes
- La Coruña: no Spanish classes, but sailing classes are available at the same price

What's Included In The Program
- Transfer from/to airport
- Insurance
- HF accommodation/3 meals
- 1 full excursion per week
- 3 Spanish lessons (55 minutes) per week (levels from Basic to Advance; extra fee of 70€ for application and books; subject to a minimum of 3 students -from different sources-)
- Close supervision from field staff
Additional Expenses You Might Incur
- Flight ticket to Madrid
- Personal expenses (around 200€ monthly)
- School expenses (books, material, excursions, lunches…)
Eligibility
- Be between 14 and 18 years old
- A basic-medium knowledge of Spanish, which we will evaluate through a conference call. Please note grade 12th is highly academically demanding in Spain, therefore, before accepting a student for this grade, please, contact us.
- Appropriate Academic Record
- To accept the rules of behavior described in the Student´s guide, which we will provide in the registration process

- Schedule a meeting with one of our Travel & Study Abroad experts.
- Submit your application and a $200 application fee. This non-refundable fee will be applied to your overall program costs.
- Upon acceptance, you will be required to pay a deposit of 50% of the total program costs, up to $1500. The final payment is due several weeks before your departure.
