Overview
The summer program at Cowichan Valley offers students the cultural opportunity to live with a native Canadian host family. In addition to a superior classroom education, students get to immerse themselves in nature-filled adventure activities such as kayaking, tours, and rock climbing! This program is also a great opportunity for American high school students to help teach English to the French speaking Canadian students, as well as other international students in the program.
Students are matched to host families based on their interests, dietary needs, and family structure request. Living with a Canadian host family is an important part of the student experience. Host families’ provide students with the opportunity to improve their English language skills while experiencing the Canadian culture.
