“We began our experience last year (2016-2017) by hosting one girl. We picked her because she had a lot in common with our oldest daughter. After speaking with her, we fell in love! She was with us for about 6 weeks, we decided to add a second student, a boy. We had a family vote, including our student, and could not have done a better thing. We loved him immediately too. They were a great fit. We had so many laughs and there was so much joy in our home. Even though they went home, we still talk regularly. They are our kids, and their bio families are now our family as well. We hosted again in (2017-2018), another boy and girl. We have had different experiences with these two, and again, we could not have found better kids. We have already picked our kid for next year…we can only host 1 next year…but I know that we are planning to continue every year, hosting kids from different countries. We are planning on visiting our kids all over the world. Our own kids have grown so much as individuals and they love having all of the exchange students around.” – Amanda
