Overview
Our High School Exchange Program in Spain will enable you to immerse yourself in Spanish culture while living with a Spanish host family and sharing in their daily life. As a family member, you will participate in activities and adapt to the family rules as if they were your own. You’ll also attend the high school nearest your host family ́s home. The high schools usually have classes from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Optional short trips & excursions are available by request.

Eligibility
– Be between 14 and 18 years old
– A basic-medium knowledge of Spanish
– Appropriate Academic Record
– To accept the rules of behavior described in the Student ́s guide, which we will provide in the registration process
Academic Info
The schools where the students will be enrolled are located in the same area as their host family ́s home. Depending of your personal choice, whether it is a public or private school, you will find a nice, friendly and typical Spanish school environment.
Independently of the academic year of your choice, the student can also enroll in various subjects. Some of them are mandatory, whereas others are optional: some of good examples are: Spanish Language, Maths, Biology, Geology, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, History, Geography, Music, Physical Education, Technology, Technical drawing, Art, English Language, French Language, etc.
The Academic year starts middle of September and ends middle of June. The most representative holiday ́s period is Christmas and Easter. The School day stars around 08:00 -09:00 until 3:00 pm in public School, and it could last until 4:00-5:00 pm in some of the Private Schools.
Orientation
Upon arrival in Spain, you will receive a full cultural orientation. During the orientation you will learn about the program, the language and about the Spanish way of life.

- Submit your application and a $200 application fee. This non-refundable fee will be applied to your overall program costs.
- Upon acceptance, you will be required to pay a deposit of 50% of the total program costs, up to $1500. The final payment is due several weeks before your departure.
